My most recent work moves toward more abstraction, using digital painting software to take the source photographs further away from their original context. While an iPhone capture is still often the starting point of each piece, the final artworks often bear little resemblance to the original photograph.
Digital painting tools allow me to work with brushes, blending modes, and layering techniques that mimic traditional painting while offering unique digital possibilities.
